Why Don’t We Hear About Good Sports Agent So Often?

Majority paradigms available on the history of various sports agents either emphasize on agents who give poor advice, are their own representatives or they do not (due to dishonesty or ignorance) adhere to the existing legislation. Evidently there are some good agents as well, but why is it so tough to find any information on them? 

The key reason behind this is the natural tendency of humans to be more interested in someone who has done wrong, than someone who does right. And thankfully, our media leaves no stone unturned to focus on this to gratify their audiences’, providing an overall negative perception.

What Should Be Done?

·         Agents should positively communicate success stories

·         Sports should possess a clear set of values to support their vision

·         Publicized community events sponsored by agents

·         Agents should work in ethical, honest and open way

EURASIA CUP 2014 Qualifiers Announced

Stephen Gallacher, Joost Luiten, Thomas Bjorn along with captain Miguel Angel Jimenez have been announced as the four qualifiers for the EURASIA CUP 2014 team.All team members have been qualified on the basis of Official World Golf Rankings.

Jimenez, who was captain for the Kuala Lumpur event in December, is yet to make two more picks in order to make round out his ten strong selections for taking on an Asia team led by Thongchai Jaidee from Thailand. 

The first batch of qualifiers who automatically secured their place at the end of 2013 Race to Dubai includes Graeme McDowell, Jamie Donaldson, Victor Dubuisson and Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano. 

Jimenez stated that he now has a very nice team with addition of four qualifiers. All the four qualifiers have been performing exceptionally well from the least few years and have won various laurels for themselves.

Mcilroy to Finish 'Unfinished Business' At Honda Classic

One of the lowest points of Rory McIlroy during the frustrating 2013 campaign was witnessed during the Honda Classic in Florida. However, the Northern Irishman is anticipating returning to one of his favorite events in this year’s edition.  

McIlroy recently announced his intention of contending in the PGA National in the Palm Beach Gardens from 27 February till 2 March. He had previously won the tournament in 2012 after defeating Tiger Woods in the final round to take over and becme the world’s number one.

The two time major winner, McIlroy is now ranked at the seventh position. He stated that the tournament is one of his favorite events of the year and as the event is taking place at Palm Beach this year, it further adds a special feel to the tournament- nearly like a home event.

Brain Lara playing the role of chief selector for Golf Team

Brain Lara will be the chief selector for the Trinidad and Tobago's national team and will feature in the two-day TATIL Open Invitational.Well known for his marvelous hitting on the field; Brain Lara is all set to begin his second innings as a selector for the national golf team.

The Caribbean Island will be hosting an amateur golf championship in Puerto Rico this year. Interestingly, Brain Lara will be the chief selector for the Trinidad and Tobago's national team this time.  

Besides this, Lara will chip in with some of his wristy club swings during the two-day TATIL Open Invitational. This event is organized by the Trinidad and Tobago Golf Association and is an important event before the national selection.

This event is the 21^st consecutive golfing experience for the Caribbean’s and will be a great practice for the promising talents. It’s a 36-hole tournament with six different categories as the organizers assure to have strong competition in each category.

Moreover, the app also delivers the latest news pertaining to the world of golf. With updates available through mails and smart search features, the app is turning out as a must have application with golfers.  As an introductory offer, the Association has launched the application for free but only for a limited time period.
