Watson finally silenced his critics who had written him of, by winning the Northern Trust Open. There was drama on the greens when Watson was nine shots away from a tie for the 40th, giving no indication of playing in the top form when he went for the 1st hole on Saturday. But he soon regained his old form in the third round to score a 64 and carried it till the front nine.

Watson was seen struggling since the 2012 Masters, but he secured his lead at the Riviera with birdie at par-5 11th and smashed all hopes of fellow golfer Dustin Johnson of winning the tournament. Finally with a birdie in his final stroke on the 18th secured his long awaited win.

Read on to find out.The people of Marana have almost traded a second level PGA tour for a World Golf Challenge, in which Tiger Woods would be participating. After playing hosts for almost eight years, the successful partnership has come to an end.

However, there are speculations whether the venue will be used for Championships permanently, due to its remoteness. In such a scenario they stand to lose a PGA tour too, for which they have found place on the golf map since 1945.

An Impressive Start for Jimmy Walker, Makes Record Just in the Beginning

While it is true that competition in the world of golf is currently higher than ever and it is no more a sitting duck to win on a PGA tour, Walker has simply shocked the world with what he has achieved as a beginner!

It has been a really awesome year for the golfer as he bags three wins in the starting phase of the season. With this, Walker joins the club of Tiger Woods, David Duval and Phil Mickelson, the only golfers to have secured three wins in just eight games in the beginning of a season in the past 20 years!

Remarkably, Walker has gone up to number 24 even as he has participated in just one World Golf Championship in Shanghai the last year. Though Walker has always said he goes out and enjoys golf, what he has achieved shows he’s worked hard and wants to do it in future too!

LPGA Eyes Rising Young Talent: Where Will It Pot the Ball?

With Cheyenne Woods, Michelle Wie and Lexi Thompson emerging as highly dynamic and successful female golfers of the new age, everyone wants to know which player’s success will LPGA want to capitalize on?
We’re not fortune tellers but as you know, it’s possible to make some easy guesses based on careful analysis.

Here’s how we can make it out:

Cheyenne Woods

Having recently won her first professional game, Cheyenne has already become world renowned as ‘Tigress Woods’ in the golf world. Since LPGA has always been big at taking players having unique intangibles and those who can prove to be game changers, it may have a serious bent towards her!One thing that's worth noticing is how similarly both Cheyenne and Tiger's lower bodies work through the ball. It acts as the motor for both Tiger and Cheyenne's golf swings, and is where each get the vast majority of their power.

Michelle Wie

One of the most polarizing lady golfers ever, Wie’s strong point is her ability to divert golf fans from men’s events. Since she had given apparent hints of becoming a superstar during a PGA tour at just 14, she can’t be looked away! Not at all!

Lexi Thompson

Admired for her game-changing skills, Lexi is one of the fittest female golfers and is capable of cutting down courses. If nothing, LPGA can surely market her innate strength that makes her hit the ball hard, and a long way!

The Final Word

Cheyenne Woods is most likely going to fascinate LPGA, for she’s not an LPGA member, has the highest fan following and above all, has recently proved her mettle at the Australian Ladies Masters just a week back!
