One of the lowest points of Rory McIlroy during the frustrating 2013 campaign was witnessed during the Honda Classic in Florida. However, the Northern Irishman is anticipating returning to one of his favorite events in this year’s edition.
McIlroy recently announced his intention of contending in the PGA National in the Palm Beach Gardens from 27 February till 2 March. He had previously won the tournament in 2012 after defeating Tiger Woods in the final round to take over and becme the world’s number one.
The
two time major winner, McIlroy is now ranked at the seventh position. He stated
that the tournament is one of his favorite events of the year and as the event
is taking place at Palm Beach this year, it further adds a special feel to the
tournament- nearly like a home event.
