Correct Grip
From the three commonly followed golf grips – the ten finger grip,
the interlock grip and the overlap grip, it is the last one that is highly recommended
by professionals.
The overlap grip will have your little finger from your bottom
hand overlapping the grip of your upper hand and be resting over the index
finger. The interlock grip very similar to overlap grip, but here the little
finger and index finger gets locked with each other.
Perfect Hold
To The Club
One common reason for overpowered or misguided shots is execution
of the drive with a tight grip on the club. Most amateurish golfers tend to
focus on power rather than deeming over the right grip, which results in wrong
shots. It is advised to have a lighter grip with no pressure from the thumbs on
the club as it will keep the muscles relaxed for a better swing.
Eliminating the
Slice Factor
Having perfect grip means you won’t be bothered about slicing the
ball. A recommended grip idea for eliminating the slice factor is to create V
with your arms and the intersection of your both hands. Moreover, you just need
to see knuckles with this grip and from your head perpendicular to the club you
will notice V with your arms that get together at the griping point.
Hand and club
configuration
To have that perfect swing, it’s important that the club and hands
are aligned in a proper manner. Make sure that your hands cover up the entire
grip on the club and your wrists are perfectly above it. Moreover, if you
elbows are bent and you don’t notice a symmetry with your hand and club
configuration, this means your grip is incorrect.
